Having an up-to-date and complete Google Business Profile (GBP) is one of the most critical steps in local search engine optimization (SEO). A fully optimized GBP is not only visible to potential customers searching for your products or services but it helps establish credibility with your audience.
Once you have a GBP, it’s important to use it to its full potential. Adding photos of your products and services, updating store hours and including customer reviews are just some of the ways you can maximize the benefits of a GBP.
One of the most underutilized features in a Google Business Profile is the products and services tab. This allows you to showcase the products and services you offer, along with a description of each item and their price range. It is a great way to attract and convert customers from the search results page and increase your chance of displaying in the Local Pack.
While you’re in the GMB dashboard, you can easily find your GMB ID by performing a search for your business name. Click the three dots as shown in the snapshot below and select “Business Profile Settings”.
Your GMB ID will be displayed at the top of this menu. You can also find your GMB ID in any post or event you create in your dashboard by clicking the 3 vertical dots and selecting “Post or Event Settings”. A pop-up window will display with a string of numbers at the end. This is your GMB ID!
